Bismi is a dedicated and passionate public health professional with a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne. With a background in community engagement, development, and health promotion, she is committed to improving health outcomes and fostering health equity by addressing the diverse needs of various communities effectively.
Her prior experience as an Associate Dentist in India provided her with a strong foundation in patient care, health promotion, and community health initiatives where she effectively promoted oral hygiene and implemented innovative solutions to enhance patient care and outreach.
She knows English, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. She has extensive volunteer experience at North Richmond Community Health and Wellsprings for Women where she collaborated with various public and community partners, coordinated health initiatives, and supported diverse communities in accessing essential services. She is also a member of the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Regional Advisory Councils.
