Maggie Ma

Maggie Ma is a Chinese/Mandarin native speaker and has over 12 years of experience in education and more than a decade in strategic partnerships, along with eight years in volunteering and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and various certifications, including a Professional Certificate in Education Support from Monash University and a Certificate IV from Chisholm Institute. Recently, she completed the Women Lead Locally Fellowship in Organizational Leadership.
Maggie works as an educator in Victorian state schools, a disability support worker for social inclusion, and a Chinese teacher at a community language school. She is passionate about building a connected, resilient community and supports CALD communities through her other roles as Founder of the Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Community Inc., member of the Multicultural Community Engagement Network, and Bilingual Worker in children’s services.
Recognized with the Highly Commended - 2023 Equity and Inclusion Award by the City of Casey, Maggie's dedication to community service is well-documented in various media features. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
